To help you prepare your NOW Learning Rooms for September, we have created a series of short videos. There are some changes to the process, which are highlighted in the to do list below. As always we’re here to help if you encounter any issues.

To do list:

1. Copy (Roll-over) your last year’s Learning Room

The first step is to copy over all of your resources (including Content and Dropbox folders) from your 2017-18 Learning Rooms. It should only take a couple of minutes and here’s a video to help you.

Here are step by step written instructions on how to do this.

2. Set your Evasys page to draft

Your 2017-18 Evasys page will be copied over as part of step 1. To make sure students can’t see this, set the page to draft ready to re-use later in the year. The video below shows you how.

We also have step by step written instructions on how to switch Content from Published to Draft.

3. Make sure your Content is organised into 4 Units (folders)

In response to Student feedback, the school agreed a four folder (Unit) structure. Here’s a video that shows you how to arrange your Content using this structure.

4. Edit your Dropbox Folder dates

Your Dropbox Folders were copied over as part of step 1. You’ll need to change the dates for the current academic year. This video shows a quick way of doing this.

In NOW Central, there are also written instructions on how to do this.

5. Update your Content and Edit webpages

It’s time to update the Content as you always do. In case you need a refresher, you can watch this video.

6. Enrol colleagues

Module Leads can enrol colleagues as Authors in their Learning Rooms, it only takes a minute – watch how to do this.

Here are step by step written instructions on how to do this.

7. Activate your Learning Room

When you’ve completed all the above steps you can Activate your Learning Room – follow the video below. Until you do this your students will be unable to see your Learning Room.

Here are step by step written instructions on how to do this.
